As a writer, conveying emphasis through text is very important to me. However, it can be hard to know when to emphasize something. Some of my characters have unique ways of speaking. Some speak only in italics, while others only in bold. I don't have anyone who has underlined dialogue though, mostly because I never really liked how it looked.
