The President is seeking reelection and social media is ensuring that everyone knows it. If you log onto X or Facebook or Instagram, all you’ll see are posts promoting the political candidate. All opposing views are being filtered out. And yet, this doesn’t mean they’re not there, or that it’s impossible to find them.

Small creators and organizations have been determined to continue posting, supporting the President’s main opponent – even without mainstream attention. Despite the media’s best efforts, these posts have managed to find an audience among those dissatisfied with the current state of things.

Even so, the probability of this newcomer winning the election is slim. Interviews are being fabricated in real time, making it seem as if the candidate demonizes their own supporters. Though some recognize and call it out as a deepfake, still many are being swayed. Despite their best efforts, it seems likely that opposing viewpoints will continue to be silenced.
